Holding MCA, MBA, and PhD qualifications, with an impressive career spanning over 17 years in Defence and 20 years as a Human Resources leader with leading multinational corporations in India and abroad, he brings a unique blend of discipline, leadership, and global perspective to education.

An accomplished and passionate MBA Guest Lecturer with specialization in Human Resource Management (HRM), Operations Research (OR), Research Methodology (RM), Business Mathematics, and Organizational Behaviour (OB). Known for delivering engaging, practical, and concept-driven sessions that bridge academic theory with real-world business applications.

With a strong academic foundation and a deep understanding of management principles, his teaching brings clarity to complex quantitative and behavioral subjects, enabling students to develop analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and managerial insight. The teaching approach integrates case studies, industry examples, and interactive discussions to enhance student participation and learning outcomes.

Experienced in mentoring MBA students across diverse academic backgrounds, and committed to fostering critical thinking, decision-making abilities, and professional readiness. Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Kalaiselvan VR is deeply committed to social development. He has served as the Ex-Secretary and Lifetime Senior Executive Member of the Chandigarh Tamil Sangam and the Lord Karthikeya Swamy Temple in Chandigarh. He is also the Founder and Trustee of SRK Trust, a social initiative dedicated to supporting communities through meaningful outreach programs.

An accomplished author, he has contributed to knowledge-sharing through works such as the Employee Handbook and a monthly magazine for LMG operations in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. As an academician, he regularly visits reputed colleges across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka as a guest lecturer. His guidance has impacted over 1,000 medical students, particularly in USMLE preparation and international education pathways. He is equally passionate about mentoring school students, helping them shape their academic journeys and career aspirations.

In addition, Dr. Kalaiselvan is a certified POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) trainer and has conducted training programs for organizations such as Moksh and AVP, reinforcing safe and inclusive workplace practices.

Adding another dimension to his personality, Dr. Kalaiselvan VR is an active sportsman and decorated athlete who has represented Tamil Nadu, earning multiple medals at district and state levels.

Through Mercury Akademy, he continues to inspire and empower the next generation with knowledge, skills, and purpose—building not just careers, but confident individuals ready to thrive in a global landscape.  

Delivered academic counseling to over 500 students across disciplines including Medicine, Engineering, Management, and related fields for international education pathways. Conducted career guidance seminars in 15 medical colleges, specifically supporting MBBS students, and successfully mentored more than 300 MBBS graduates in preparation for USMLE and AMC postgraduate coaching programs
